Presidential Leadership Network on Global Warming
The League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (LCVEF) and the California League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (CLCVEF) have initiated a program to bring the climate crisis to the forefront of the 2008 presidential primaries. We are inviting political donors around the country to leverage their access to candidates to ensure that all candidates prioritize the issue to move the U.S. in a new direction.
Political donors play a central role in influencing the candidates' positions, raising the profile of critical issues, and, ultimately, forging the national debate. To ensure that candidates hear a consistent and coordinated message, we have created a bipartisan network of political donors concerned about global warming and eager for national leadership on the issue. The Presidential Leadership Network on Global Warming is encouraging candidates to make global warming a top priority in their campaigns.
